CMD Solutions, Amazon Web Services (AWS) 2020 Consulting Partner of the Year – Australia and New Zealand, today announced it has achieved the AWS Service Delivery designation for AWS Lambda, a serverless compute service.
The AWS Service Delivery Program is designed to validate AWS Partners that have a deep understanding of AWS services, demonstrated experience, and proven customer success in delivering these services to customers. To qualify, partners must pass a validation process that includes assessing customer references and a technical review, showing that customers can be confident when working with AWS Service Delivery Partners.
Part of IT consultancy Mantel Group, CMD Solutions worked closely with sister brand DigIO to deliver serverless projects with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) and one of Australia’s major telecommunications and internet providers. Director of Energy Made Easy from AER stated, “Mantel Group (CMD/DigIO) demonstrated a shared commitment to purpose from the outset of the project. This cultural alignment combined with the depth of experience across all of their brands, led to the creation of something awesome that really showed off their skills. We are really proud of our new product and what we have been able to achieve through our partnership with Mantel Group (CMD/DigIO).”
As an AWS Lambda Partner, CMD Solutions can now help customers build services and applications without provisioning or managing servers. Partners with the AWS Service Delivery validation for AWS Lambda provide developer tooling solutions validated by AWS serverless experts against the AWS Well-Architected Framework. This AWS Lambda Service Delivery designation joins CMD Solutions’ other six AWS Competencies, reinforcing its cloud expertise in Australia and New Zealand.
“We’re seeing increasing adoption of serverless technologies ever since the launch of AWS Lambda in 2014. AWS Lambda has allowed developers to focus on their code without needing to worry about provisioning, managing, scaling or patching any servers,” said Matt Taylor, Head of Partner Solution Architecture, APJ at AWS. “With this sort of demand, customers are increasingly relying on consulting partners for skills and to deliver serverless projects. CMD Solutions have demonstrated their proficiency in this space by obtaining the AWS Service Delivery designation for AWS Lambda.”
As part of Mantel Group, CMD Solutions recently celebrated being named number one in Australia’s Best Workplaces 2021 (Medium category) by Great Place to Work™. CMD Solutions’ strong focus on people enables it to deliver client work with high standards. CMD Solutions plans to hire 50 new team members, and continue to specialise in delivering cloud transformation for customers
Co-CEO Andre Morgan, said: “We want to stay ahead of the curve and deliver the best solutions for our clients. Achieving AWS Service Delivery designation for AWS Lambda in addition to our existing six AWS Competencies puts us in a great position to deliver the right solution for many businesses powered by AWS.”
Fellow CEO Adam Durbin, added: “Undertaking the AWS Service Delivery Program has been very important for our team’s development, providing great confidence in working with AWS Lambda and arming clients with serverless streaming apps, with zero administration.”
